ED facility design is an important lever to provide you with ways to improve care pathways, increase efficiency, and control costs. But a new ED space designed according to outdated workflow patterns, staffing and care models will fall short of your desired outcomes. Indeed, the typical planning process ignores the needs of service and operational planning and rarely incorporates workflow into the design and spatial decisions.

Whether you're building a new ED department, or renovating or expanding an existing structure, the information you have and the choices you make at the strategic planning stage are imperative. Essentially, spaces need to be designed from the workflow in the ED in order to successfully accommodate predicted volume growth.

The Care Design ED Assessment Tool will help provide you with insight into your ED facility strategic plan whether you are designing for today - or defining for tomorrow. The Care Design ED Assessment Tool will guide you in assessing your approach to planning, developing, and designing an ED infrastructure that will ultimately help you in achieving a more efficient clinical care delivery model, and meet your facility's - and patients' needs for today and tomorrow.

    Hello there,

I'm looking for an emergency department assessment tool, something that can measure the effectiveness of the ED operations, and give an estimate of how efficient this ed is.
    can you help me out.?
